Kevin Hulin

Kevin Hulin is currently a Cybersecurity R&D Manager at Sandia National Laboratories in Livermore, CA where he builds and leads teams of researchers to address the nation’s most daunting challenges in Cloud security. Kevin also co-leads the Center for Cyber Defenders (CCD) internship program out of Sandia’s Livermore office and has had the pleasure of introducing students (including many SFS participants) to cyber research at the national laboratories. Prior to entering management, Kevin served as a research scientist with accomplishments including leading project teams to develop and deploy advanced network intrusion detection systems across .gov and researching applications of machine learning to support predictive intrusion modeling. Kevin additionally spent three years on assignment at DHS/CISA supporting the development of the National Cyber Protection System. Kevin holds a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas where he was a member of the SFS program and founding member of the Computer Security Group.
